Company Settings
Navigating: Sidebar footer > Company Settings.
Company Settings is the company-wide administration home. It does not depend on the currently selected project. The page has a left-hand sidebar with four sections, each with its own URL hash so you can link straight to it:
- Users (
#users) — the default section. - Company Profile (
#profile) - Stamps (
#stamps) - Projects (
#projects)
Document Controllers administer their own company. Superusers can work on any company by choosing it from the company selector at the top of the settings sidebar; every section then reflects the selected company.
For who can access a particular project, use Members under Project Settings instead. That is the project-level view; Company Settings is the company-level one.
Users
The company-wide directory: list, invite, and edit users, and manage their per-project access. Each row shows the projects a user can access as badges, so you can see at a glance who has access to what.
- Columns: User (name and username), Contact (email and phone), Company and position, Projects (badges), Status (Active/Inactive plus role), Joined (date joined and last login).
- Search: By name, email, or username.
- Filter: By Active/Inactive status. Superusers change which company they are looking at with the company selector in the settings sidebar.
Adding users: Document Controllers add people through the Invite User flow below. Direct user creation is reserved for superusers.
Editing a User
Change email, password, name, phone, position, active status, staff role, and project access. Company cannot be changed after creation.
Project Access
Each user can be assigned to specific projects within their company. Only assigned projects are visible in the project switcher, and the user only receives notifications for those projects. Superusers always have access to all projects regardless of assignments.
Editing project access inline: You do not have to open the edit dialog to change access. Each row's Projects column has a small edit control that opens a popover listing every project the company participates in, with a checkbox per project. Ticking or unticking a project saves immediately and the badges on the row update straight away. Superusers show All Projects instead of badges and have no popover, because their access comes from their role.
Deactivating a User
Untick Active in the edit dialog to block sign-in without deleting the account.
Notification Preferences
Click the bell icon on a user's row to manage their email notification preferences on their behalf. See Notification Preferences.
Inviting Users
Click Invite User to invite someone to your company.
Invitation form: Email (required), first name, last name, position, whether they should be a Staff User (a Document Controller), and project access selection (defaults to all company projects).
Flow
- An invitation email is sent to the invitee with a registration link. The link is also displayed on screen for manual sharing.
- The invitee clicks the link and completes registration by setting a username and password.
- Their account is created with the company, position, role, and project assignments from the invitation.
Managing Invitations (Pending Invitations tab)
- View all pending invitations with status.
- Resend: Regenerates the invitation link and resets the 7-day expiry.
- Revoke: Cancels the invitation.
Invitations expire after 7 days if not used.
Company Profile
Holds your company's identity details. Three summary tiles at the top show the company's active users, pending invitations, and projects.
- Company name — editable by Document Controllers and superusers.
- Abbreviation — read-only for Document Controllers; only superusers can change it. The abbreviation is used in transmittal numbers, so changing it changes how new transmittals are numbered.
- Company logo — upload a PNG or JPEG up to 5 MB. The current logo is shown as a preview with a Remove option.
Click Save to apply the name and abbreviation. Changes made here are recorded in the Audit Log as Company Updated.
Stamps
Manage the official company stamp (upload, replace, or remove it) and the shared library of custom stamps (add one with a name and an image, rename it, or delete it) for the whole company.
These are the same stamps that are reachable from your profile page. Either place manages the same library, so use whichever is closer to hand.
Projects
A read-only overview of the projects your company participates in.
- Columns: Project, Code, Role (Owner, Consultant, Contractor, Subcontractor, or Other), Primary (flagged when this is the company's primary project link), Status (Launched or Onboarding), and Users assigned — how many of your company's users have access to that project.
- Each row has a link that opens that project's Project Settings → Members, where you can add or remove members for the project itself.
